The scheduled maintenance is now underway. We'll keep you updated on our progress.

The operating system on cpanel1.lchost.net will shortly reach end of life, and must now be upgraded to continue receiving security and feature updates.

New to cPanel / CloudLinux in recent times is the ability to do a so-called in-place upgrade of the operating system (something we have done for decades on our other non-cPanel systems), whereas historically we would have had to do a much more complex migration of data between the old server and a new one.

This process will nevertheless require a long period of downtime.

This is a 6 hour window with at least 2 hours of downtime expected during that time.

All services hosted on cpanel1.lchost.net - email and webhosting - should be expected to be unavailable during this 6 hour window.

In the event that the in-place upgrade of the operating system does not succeed, we will roll back the system to a snapshot taken immediately before the work commences.

In the event we are unable to successfully "in place upgrade" the operating system and have to roll back, a separate "legacy style" migration of accounts will be required to take place at a later date.
